Where I have been, and where I am going...
In hindsight, I think my blog name was the most fitting title for anything and everything involving me. Where in the world am I, indeed...lol. It is a long story, sure you want to hear it? lol
Well I am still still in academia, still studying...still learning...although now, the instruments and tools with which I am dissecting the world are no longer under the field of study known as science. This time around, I am approaching the world from the other side of the court; this time around, Art is the teacher.
They say that the universe is written in the language of math (and science). After five years studying math (but moreso science), I've come to the realize that true understanding is best achieved when one learns to view a matter of interest from queer vantage points, through wholly unfamiliar lenses. In other words, the universe is more than math and science.
The universe--our very own world, even--is written in color, form, texture, feeling, etc. These are things you don't learn in math class or science class. These are things that also matter, so much so that they underpin transmitted culture all over the world.
The universe, the world, is complex and the key to unraveling the complexity can be found in nature (the greatest teacher). This is because there is truth in nature-- absolute truth; and within absolute truth, there is supreme understanding.
I have begun a journey with the intent of finding, assimilating, and understanding Truth in its purest form; Truth, free of all institutional and cultural prejudice. The Truth of the world, that is the world, and the Truth that is the Universe.
To achieve said Truth, I intend to engage life and the world via all manner of schools of thought. Science, Math, Philosophy, the Arts, etc--these will be the tools at my disposal as I journey toward this Truth.
Presently, at this very moment, the Arts are my tools of choice. This is where I am in the World. The previous two years have been somewhat of a transition geared towards bringing me to this very moment.
Life is beautiful from where I am standing. Life is full of promise.
I am a nomad journeying toward Truth and absolute understanding.

A Few Good Songs by a Few Good Artists...
The Britons are coming, the Britons are coming. Hide the women and young'ns, the Britons are coming. No worries, this invasion by British alternative rock/pop band, Coldplay, is one invasion you'll welcome. After-all, these are the same guys that brought the world X&Y (2005), A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002), and (but not limited to) Parachutes (2000)--all fantabulous albums if I may say so. This time around, Coldplay brings us: Viva la Vida (2008), and if the first single "Violet Hills" is an approximation of what's to come in the album, then resistance to this invasion is, quite honestly, futile. New listeners may not initially vibe with their tunes but I guarantee this--you'll love them if you give their sound a chance. But don't take my word for it. Experience the invasion for yourself...

Usher: "Moving Mountains"
So if you didn't know, the king of Rhythm & Blues is back. That's right, Usher is back so if your name is Chris Brown, kindly make way for your elder. Don't get me wrong, I think Chris did a wonderful job sustaining the R&B world in Usher's absence and in doing so, etched his name and sound in musical stone as a force to be reckoned with, but with Usher back on the scene, all members of the genre need to give their due respect. Usher first two releases (Love in this Club and Moving Mountains) off the album: "Here I stand" proves that this ol' boy still got it. Those who patiently waited for his return wont be disappointed and will be dually rewarded.

Will Smith called it Summertime...
So I haven’t updated the blizzorg in a while and I apologize for that. A lot has definitely happened since my last post—like turning 22 (yayyyyy) and officially starting my summer (one that consists of 12 grueling weeks of mind crackling Calculus, and 10 weeks of scientific research looking at pinocytotic processes in mutant strains of Dichyostelium—I know, I know…quite a riveting summer, lol). But honestly, I am a slave to academia so I don’t mind any of these things. My mom always tells me to take a break (from academia) and give my mind a chance to rest—after all, isn’t that the purpose of summer vacation. Like all moms, she is correct…but honestly I am weird person—really. I’ll take a summer learning in school than a summer just loafing around at home, lol. I guess the way I have it figured, I will take an extended absence from academia when I graduate or die—whichever comes first—(hopefully the former first, however...lol).
