My movie of the week..."Memoirs of a Geisha"

According to Shakespeare: all the world's a stage-- and on this stage, we perform our alloted roles in the "play" that is life (whether we realize it or not). We each tell a different story. Our stories can be tragic or they can be comedic; they can be overly theatrical, or moderately humble. Heck, some of us live lives that combine all of these elements (if this is the case, your name is most likely Mike Tyson...yikes). The fact is, at the end of the day when the curtain rolls down, ask yourself whether your story was a captivating one-- ask yourself whether it was good enough to be passed down to future audiences. Will people remember who you were and what you did...will your memoirs be told and retold...

My highly recommended movie for this week is: Memoirs of a Geisha...(~8mins)

This movie conveys all the characteristics of a great story: ...

Btw, I too have the ability to stop a woman in her tracks with one look...lol.

My movie of the week..."Juno"

So like many people out there, I love watching movies. There's nothing better than watching a good movie--better yet, a great movie--to make all your worries go away. Sometimes its not even about the worries that plight you...it's simply a matter of escaping, temporarily, and living vicariously via the characters being watched. Simply stated: a good movie is the modern day remedy for pacifying the modern day soul...

My highly recommended movie of the week is: Juno...(first 10mins)

I like this movie for many reasons--like the fact that it deals with real life issues like teenage pregnancy. Aside from this though, nothing tops the numerous well-executed funny "quotables" dispersed throughout the movie. Just watch these first 10mins and you'll see what I am talking about, lol.

Saying What Needs To Be Said...

So the question of the moment asks..."where in the world is kofi". For now, I am in a quiet University--located in a quaint town--in what may at times seem like a very queer state (Connecticut)...after all, Connecticut is host to the richest county in the United States (Fairfield County) and one of the poorest (H......d county); and lets not forget just how perfectly creepy this place can be--remember that movie The Stepford Wives...(well it aint fiction...lol). But regardless, this is my present "situation" and I plan on making the best of it.

"Situations" are a funny thing though...they're the forever youthful child siblings of fate and destiny. They comprise everything we do and regulate the courses we take in this life. You string together all your situations...every situation... and what do you have--the life that you led. The path that you followed; your destiny. Can you control your situation...and consequently alter your path? This is the age old question--and for every question, there is an answer...

Happiness in life arises only when you wield and control your own situation; never leave it to fate or destiny. You can start by saying what needs to be said...
